Goodwinds Marine Services and Infitec del Norte, both located at Cantabria, join the commercialization and distribution of an innovative technology capable of eliminating the virus that causes covid-19 with practically total effectiveness. It is DuctFIT ®, a patented solution that fight against viruses and bacteria present in both, air and surfaces. In this context, the IT company, a developer of mobile and web applications, has teamed up with its technical partner Goodwinds Marine Services, as a local part of a Global Biosafety Project called SieXein that advocates the use of technologies which main value lies in the demonstrated effectiveness of the same.

Thanks to the numerous laboratory tests carried out, we can ensure an efficiency rate of 99.99% eliminating encapsulated viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, responsible for covid-19. Additionally, this technology fight other viruses such as H1N1 or Enterovirus, bacteria such as e-Coli, KPC or Legionella, or dust mites present in the environment.

This technology has been applied with full guarantee in more than 30 million square meters in various countries and continents, and within the maritime field, with projects under development in Singapore or Equatorial Guinea to name a few. Likewise, other companies of a very diverse nature such as Inditex, HP, Gestamp, BBVA, Lego or Ferrari have already opted for this measure to purify their work environments
At Spain, its implementation is in an initial phase with great potential for growth ahead, being Andalucía the region where it is most present, since the first trials in hospitals were successfully carried out at the University Hospital “Virgen de las Nieves” at Granada, with presence in the ICUs.

From NASA to your house
"We would like Cantabria to adopt all the applications of this system that has no competition in the market and would allow, among other things, to resume the hostelry activity under normal circumstances", explained Mario Cabrero, CEO of Goodwinds Marine Services.

A news that has already aroused the interest of Cantabrian hoteliers as it is an economic sector especially hit by the pandemic. In fact, “this is just one of the many possibilities that fit perfectly in the creation of clean, safe and healthy enclosed spaces in both, public or private sector, either hospitals or shopping centers, including different means of transportation. such as airplanes, ships, buses or private vehicles, thanks to its multiple applications.

To achieve such high effectiveness, DuctFIT ® uses an enhanced 'CAS' catalytic oxidation technology based on a NASA development. The so-called ‘Photocatalytic Oxidation’ (PCO) was devised in the 1970s in order to purify the air inside the Space Station, to later be developed in the fight against covid-19.
